The Capel Building is home to our offices, day services, events and fitness groups.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
On the lower floor we have our offices including reception, and above that we have our Art, Cooking and Sensory Rooms, as well as the spacious Capel Hall; which you may remember from the famous ‘dole queue scene’ in hit film ‘The Full Monty’!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
Capel Hall is perhaps the bit of Burton Street that still looks most like a school. It’s best thought of as an activity space, rather than a function space. At 105 sq\/m, it is particularly popular with dance and drama groups. Between 9am-5pm, the Capel Building is where the majority of our learning disability services take place. Outside these times Capel Hall is available to rent for a variety of purposes. It’s a bit rough and ready to be a venue for a posh do – Burton Hall is much more suitable in those instances. Capel Hall is more of a fun activity space.
