Burton Street Foundation is seeking a highly organised and creative individual to join our team as a Marketing & Communications Lead. This is a part-time role that plays a key part in telling the story of our organisation, supporting our community events, and keeping our internal and external communications consistent and professional.

About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines creative marketing with internal communications, event promotion, and administrative tasks. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our website and social media platforms, designing visual materials, supporting day-to-day communications across departments, and leading on the delivery of our biggest annual event — the Burton Street Christmas Market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Burton Street Foundation website (WordPress)
  • Maintain and grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
  • Produce internal newsletters, staff communications and public campaigns
  • Design and distribute visual materials (posters, leaflets, menus, signage, templates)
  • Lead on the planning and promotion of the annual Burton Street Christmas Market
  • Provide admin support such as updating internal files, photo ID production, maintaining calendars and file systems
  • Manage the Mailchimp account and email communications
  • Take photographs (with proper permissions) and produce content that reflects the work of our services
  • Uphold and evolve the organisation’s branding across all platforms

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to balance creative and admin tasks
  • Experience managing websites and social media professionally
  • Confidence with written communication and visual design (Adobe suite or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently and across teams
  • Someone who enjoys variety and can adapt between focused desk-based work and fast-paced event environments

This role would suit a skilled communicator, marketing all-rounder, or freelancer looking for meaningful part-time work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
