Learning Disability Services
Our Learning Disability services are at the heart of Burton Street Foundation. Each week, around 250 clients from across Sheffield take part in engaging, collaborative sessions — from filmmaking, dance and sports to mindfulness, orienteering and radio production.
We focus on self-expression, confidence and independence. Every creative session is designed to encourage clients to try new things, build relationships, develop new skills and continue learning in a stimulating environment.
Alongside our group sessions, we provide high-quality, person-led one-to-one and two-to-one support, helping clients build independence, improve wellbeing, and become more connected within the Burton Street community and beyond.

Our aim is to help people live their best lives. Through personalised support, we focus on each person’s strengths, empowering them to make their own choices and take control of their journey.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to play a meaningful part in their community and do the things that matter most to them. By removing barriers and encouraging collaboration, we support people to discover their full potential.
